👤 User Management

In SimpliRoute, you can create users with different access privileges based on the role they play in your operation.

The first step to managing your users is to locate the ⚙️ icon in the options bar on the left side of your window, which will take you to the Settings section.

Once you're in the Settings section, you should go to the 👥 Users tab ; here, you can see the list of users created in your account and the available options to manage them.

Create user ➕

You can create as many users 👥 as you need at no additional cost, since the value of your subscription is based on the number of vehicle licenses.

Each type of user has different access permissions and functionalities, for example:

  • Administrators: Have access to all menu options, create routes, monitor routes, create drivers, and more.

  • Drivers: Can only use the mobile app, but their route assignment must be done via the platform.

  • And others.

If you're not yet familiar with all the roles available on our platform, we recommend reading our article on User Roles 👥, before continuing.

Given the above, you should now click on the Create User button:

Next, as shown in the image below, a form for 👤 Creae user will open; in this form, you need to fill in some required fields and some optional ones. Below, we explain each field in detail.

🔴 Required Information:

  • Name: This refers to the description of the person or the user’s responsible party, and this name will appear when assigning routes.

  • Username: This must be a unique value, as this username will allow you to log in to the web platform or mobile app.

    Keep in mind that we have a general database for all SimpliRoute accounts, so if you enter a common username, it might already be taken, and you’ll see the message "Username already exists." In that case, you'll need to choose a different username that the system validates as available.

  • Password 🔑: Set a secure password to log into the system, with a minimum length of 8 characters.

  • Role: Choose the user’s role according to the access privileges you want to grant them. You can learn more in our article about User Roles 👥.

🔵 Optional Information:

  • Phone ☎️: The user’s contact phone number. It doesn’t have any special functionality and is just an informational field.

  • Email 📧: You can provide an email address, which will allow the user to recover their password or unlock their account if necessary. Email addresses that are already registered are not allowed.

Once you’ve filled out all the fields, simply press the Save changes button to create the user 👤.


Edit User ✏️

To modify a user, hover your cursor 🖱️ over the row corresponding to the user you want to edit in the user list. The ✏️ Edit button will appear, and when you click it, you will enter edit mode.

In the edit window, you can modify 📝 the Name, Email, Role, Phone, Password, and even the Username (the new username must be available). From this window, you can also delete the user if necessary by clicking the 🗑️ Delete user button.


Delete User 🗑️

To delete a user, simply hover your cursor 🖱️ over the row corresponding to the user you wish to delete in the user list. The 🗑️ button will appear, and you can click it to delete the user. As indicated in the previous step, you can also delete the user from the edit window.
